Academic
On the academic front, extra classes and remedial classes were going on after the school. School teachers are staying back to provide subject specific help to all grades. Extra guidance is also provided during evening study hours by dedicated boarding tutors.


Practical on Food Test
The students of IX C had a practical on FOOD TESTS.  They examined common foods in our diet in the presence of carbohydrates (sugars and starch), proteins and fats.  They took a sample of food that they had for lunch and conducted the food tests using iodine, benedict reagents and biuret tests to find out the presence of these nutrients in the food that we eat. The children realized the importance of nutrients and why it is necessary to eat the right food.





Field trip of GRADE 7, 8 & 9 CIE

Students of classes 7, 8 and 9 CIE went on a field trip to Jayabheri Automotives, in Vizainagaram. In connection with the lesson “Speed and Pressure”. Students were shown the parts of speedometer, working on hydraulic lifts, electronic lift, different types of brakes. Students learned about the working of hydraulic brakes, working of accelerator in the vehicles. They even learned about how a diesel vehicle consumes less fuel than a petrol vehicle.
It's really a good experience of students directly watching the working systems of the vehicles. They had a fun in learning.



Food Mela

The students of VI A organized a Food Mela.  The Traditional food of different regions of India to identify the different nutrients present in the Traditional Cuisine and to find out the importance of each nutrient. The children explained why it is important to know what each food contains and why it is necessary to eat healthy food.




SPORTS & FITNESS  

Sports is an indispensable part of education system all over the world at each level of studies. Whereas education kindles the light of knowledge in the mind, the sports help to maintain the physique. It is always true that a healthy mind can only be the best in education. At the same time, sports are also important means of entertainment after long hours of studies and a source of renewed energy.













COMMUNITY SERVICE
Community service is important because it provides eye-opening experiences while benefitting many people.  Knowing that a great impact can be made on others lives, through simple actions, makes the work worthwhile. Giving back to the community provides a rewarding sense of pride. It is an honor to help others and make them smile. The world would be better if more people helped people in need. This weekend boarders conducted an art & craft activity at the adopted govt. school at Majjivalsa village.













birthday celebration

This week, we celebrated birthday of Rachit, Shobhit, Tirendra, Yashi & Karthik. On their birthday they distributed cake & sweets to boarders. Students enjoyed the treat given by them.
