Weekly Bulletin (23 June to 29 June)

“A good head and good heart are always a formidable combination. But when you add to that a literate tongue or pen, then you have something very special.”

Academics
Special extra classes were in-progress for class XII. The revision classes/prep hours for other classes were also going fine.
Students of class VII CIE performed an activity to investigate the relation between height of the ramp and distance covered by the object. Students used planks as the ramp and measured the distance covered by toy cars each time by increasing the height of the ramp. They found that the distance covered by the car increases as the height of the ramp increases. Students participated enthusiastically and drew the conclusions for their investigation.

"THE GENIUS MEMORY" workshop
In the present spell of highly competitive time where knowledge, qualifications and skills are so richly available in people, the next parameters which can decide the overall merit is memory. It is an art of quick retrieval of what you have in the stock of your mind. Means what you have is alright, but what you can put out instantly from your mind system is paid most.
The workshop was conducted by Mr. AP Rajesh.

OAKSAT & VOCATHON
The SAT training program continued this weekend at our campus. One maths session and one verbal ability session was conducted for the students. Success in SAT will open doors for our XI & XII class students to secure admissions for Graduation in Top International Universities.
Vocational course ‘Vocathon’ was also conducted this weekend exclusively for boarders. In today’s fast changing world, enabling our children with technological expertise is arguably one of the biggest gifts that we can give them.

Under 16 Women’s Cricket selection
We are proud to announce that three of our Oakridgers – Sarayu P of grade 8, Richa K and Karuna S of grade 9 are selected for under 16 women’s cricket team at district level.
Many congratulations to all of them.

SPORTS
Students are always full of energy, all of which cannot be spent only on studies. Sports is their outlet of surplus energy. The students enjoy their leisure time more while playing sports. They run and jump a lot which improve their digestive system. Sports provide food for mind in the same way as learning provides knowledge.
