Boarding Rules







  • Discipline and decent behaviour are given the highest importance. Every student is expected to his/her teachers and follow all rules and regulations. 
  • Use of profane or insulting language and immoral behaviour will be considered serious offences, the punishment for which can be expulsion of the boarder from boarding house. 
  • Boarders are expected to be presentable at all times. Uniforms are to be worn as per the expectation of the school.
  • Matters like bullying, harassing, ragging or hurting physically/ mentally shall be dealt seriously and disciplinary action would be taken against the defaulter. 
  • It is expected that each students displays his best and maintains cleanliness of his room and his surroundings.
  • All the belongings of every boarder must be listed and clearly marked.
  • Every boarder is responsible for his own belongings.
  • Boarders are not allowed to keep any cash with them.
  • Items of extraordinary value like costly watches, gold buttons and rings, expensive fountain pens, cameras, transistors, mobile phone etc. are not permitted to be kept by the boarder. 
  • Colouring of hair, inappropriate hair styling and body tattoos are not permissible.
  • Boarders are not allowed to keep spray deodorants, correction fluids and hair styling gels.
  • Fancy belts, rings, trinkets, make-up sets, nail polish, hair dyes will be confiscated if brought to school.
  • Boarders must bring the clothing and other essential things as per the list provided by the school.
  • Boarders are expected to adhere to laundry timings.
  • Rooms have to be kept neat and clean at all times.
  • Boarders should not waste water and electricity.
  • Parents are not allowed to meet their wards during the weekdays. However for any exceptions they must take prior permission from Housemaster / Housemistress.
  • Parents can visit their wards on 2nd Saturday / 2nd Sunday.
  • Persons not registered with the school office will not be allowed to meet the boarder.
  • Any change in the phone number, email address and communication address must be conveyed to the school office immediately in writing.
  • Any change in the Local Guardian who is registered with school office must be communicated by the parents to the school office immediately in writing with photograph of the new Local Guardian.
  • Boarders are expected to use the study time profitably and strict silence has to be maintained in the study hall.
  • In case of sickness, it should be reported immediately to the Doctor / Nurse for appropriate action.
  • All incidental expenses of the boarders will be recovered from their account.
  • Any damage caused to the school property will be recovered along with a fine.
  • All dues towards the school before leaving the boarding.
  • Any boarder leaving the school in the middle of the academic year has to pay the boarding fee of the entire year.
  • Boarders may be granted leave up to a maximum period of three days in case of an emergency and this can be availed only once in a year.
  • Leave may be granted for special medical treatment if necessary.
  • A written request from the parent should be sent directly to the Principal for availing leave.
  • Medical Prescription needs to be submitted after a long absence. The Doctor's certificate only will not be taken in consideration.
  • Parents are not allowed to enter in the rooms of the boarder.
  • Parents are allowed to visit their children in the Reception only. Dormitories and Corridors must not be used for this.
  • Parents are advised not to give any tuck to their children.
  • Boarders are permitted to bring personal musical instruments, Shuttle Badminton Racket, Cricket Bat etc. The initial of the student and admission number must be marked on the articles.
  • Stealing, smoking, consuming drugs, alcohol, possession of objectionable and obscure material are offences that would lead to direct expulsion of the boarder from boarding house.
  • It is expected that every boarder follows the specific schedule timings of the boarding house, especially rising up and lights out.
  • Electronic gadgets, PSP, Gameboy, etc. are not allowed in the possession of the boarder.
  • Parents can make telephone calls to the house staff only if necessary between 8.00 pm. to 10.00p.m.
  • Boarders are permitted to talk to their parents on specific days only during the tuck shop timings.
  • In case of emergency parents can contact the Housemaster / Housemistress.
  • Boarders are not permitted to bring Mobile phones.
  • Any restricted articles / items confiscated will not be returned till the end of the session.
  • Rules may be changed from time to time without prior intimation to parents / boarders.
  • Principal’s decision is final in all matters.
